Destiny 2 Sets Maintenance for Next Week to Fix Issues

Bungie has recently updated its list of known issues for Destiny 2. These are outlined in the studio’s latest weekly blog post, along with event details and other topics to prepare Destiny 2 players for the week ahead.

First off, the Trials of the Nine was disabled at the wrong time this week. The limited-time multiplayer event should be running at its regular time, which is 10 AM PT on Friday until Tuesday at 2 AM PT. There are a couple issues with Clans, such as public events not properly distributing Clan XP to members upon completion, and Clan Engrams are also not being awarded to players who earned them.

Destiny 2 Known Issues:

  • Trials of the Nine was not disabled properly at this week’s ritual reset. Moving forward, players should expect this activity to be available each Friday at 10 AM PDT through Tuesday at 2 AM PDT.
  • The quest step “His Highness’s Seal” is not properly incrementing when players acquire Emperor Seals.
  • Occasionally, objects aren’t properly spawning within the Exodus Crash Nightfall strike. Players may need to relaunch the activity for objectives to properly spawn.
  • Public event completions are not properly granting Clan XP upon completion.
  • Clan Engrams are not being rewarded to some qualifying players. NOTE: If a player leaves a clan and joins a new clan mid-week, they will not be able to earn further Clan Engrams until the following weekly reset.
  • If a player creates a new character after an alternate character has earned a raid key on a given week, the key will be erroneously removed from character Inventory. NOTE: Raid keys are removed, by design, with each weekly ritual reset.

In addition to the above issues, there is a problem with the Destiny 2 microtransations store, Eververse. When players purchase Silver, some are encountering delays and receiving “Silver Synch Pending” or “Query Failed” errors. If a player runs into this issue, Bungie suggests fully closing the game, clearing the console cache, then relaunching and selecting a character. This should put the Silver into the players inventory, essentially alleviating the problem until a permanent fix can be implemented.

Remedying these issues is just one of the things on the schedule this week for Destiny 2. A new special event called Faction Rallies will begin with the Weekly Reset this Tuesday. The event will reintroduce the three factions from the original game, along with all of their faction-specific gear. Returning are Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy. Players that align themselves with these factions can earn special tokens that can be turned in for rewards that include a variety of new weapons and armor.

This week also marks the first time the Leviathan raid will be open to Guided Games Beta. This means solo players will finally get a shot at taking down Emperor Calus for some sweet loot. Little was known about Calus before he was introduced as the final hurdle in the game. And, while intimate knowledge of the character isn’t necessary to beating him, those interested in some backstory can check out this backstory video focused on Emperor Calus. The video details his motivations for facing the Guardians and alludes to what he hopes to gain from it.

To take on the game’s toughest challenge to date, players will need to be prepared. There are a wide variety of weapons in Destiny 2, but choosing the right Exotics or Legendaries for the job can daunting. That’s why one Redditor took the time to create a spreadsheet that contains a complete weapons breakdown. With a full list of stats and perks, choosing one’s arsenal has never been easier.

Destiny 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it launches on October 24, 2017 for PC.
